Business Development Manager

PercipEnz Technologies, Inc. is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to fill the position of a Business Development Manager for its enterprise-class clinical and translational research software portfolio. As a member of our Marketing and Business Development team, the successful candidate will utilize a consultative sales process to identify, qualify and secure new clients in academic medical centers, cancer centers, hospitals and clinics. This position will report to the VP of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a strong track record in direct sales and marketing of software services and solutions, negotiating/driving contracts to closure and managing key account relationships to effectively grow the business. The candidate is expected to travel (up to 30%) on a regular basis to client locations to support lead generation, sales presentations, contract negotiations and product demonstration.

Responsibilities

The position's primary responsibility is to achieve new business targets for software solutions in the target market and develop revenue-generating relationships with key decision makers at client sites that are consistent with the company's business objectives.

Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as mutually established.
Actively seek and achieve lead generation, new prospects and other business development goals to build an optimal sales pipeline.
Manage end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, onsite presentations and product demonstration, multi-day client workshops, initiate contract negotiations and closure. The candidate will be the focal point for all communications and sales activities with prospects and current clients.
Work in close collaboration with internal teams in product development, project management, marketing and product support.
Identify and develop potential collaborations and seek new markets and service growth areas.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills to establish credibility and trust in the market segments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
At least 4 years of experience in direct sales and business development activities geared towards growing and expanding the business.
Healthcare or medical science background and/or experience is highly desirable.
Ability to maintain strong sales management focus during sales cycles that are typically six months to a year in duration.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking and pay attention to details.
Eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer

PercipEnz Technologies, Inc. is seeking Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers to develop and enhance the OnCore^® product line, our market-leading suite of products for the clinical and translational research enterprise. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from the support and enhancement of current products to the development of new products. Full time positions are currently available at our office located on Madison's west side.

Primary Responsibilities

Designing, developing and deploying web based systems built using Java EE (servlets, EJBs, JSPs, web services, etc.) technologies in a multi-tiered environment. This could involve working with front-end components, business logic, workflow logic, backend systems and integration endpoints.
Work collaboratively within a team setting as well as independently when necessary.
Manage the responsibility of participating on multiple projects.
Communicate clearly in a timely manner in both verbal and written communication.
Perform technical lead responsibilities as required on certain projects.

Job Qualifications

Professional experience using Java based technologies for building database driven web applications.
Professional experience using relational databases and writing SQL. Oracle specific knowledge preferred. Knowledge of PL/SQL a definite plus.
Must possess the ability to write SQL in an ad hoc fashion to facilitate the troubleshooting of customer application issues.
Hands-on, cross-browser, client side development experience using HTML and JavaScript, including familiarity with AJAX and JSON.
Experience with version control systems such as CVS or SVN.
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
